Jason Dailey is currently the owner of Dailey Operation Consulting LLC, a municipal and authority focused consulting service provider. Prior to full time consulting work, Jason served as the Utilities Director and was the former Public Works Director for Cranberry Township in Butler County. Mr. Dailey has been responsible for the management and oversight of a 50 person Department responsible for the divisions of traffic, streets, fleet, facilities, grounds maintenance, sewer treatment plant and collection system, pretreatment and water distribution. Administration, technical operational involvement, routine business and citizen engagement, personnel, budgeting, capital planning, asset management, bargaining unit negotiations are all just a few of the responsibilities in this position.
Prior to his current position, Mr Dailey served as Township Manager for two different communities in Allegheny County, West Deer Township and Crescent Township. Jason was an appointed Board member of the Municipal Employers Insurance Trust (MEIT) and held officer positions on the Association for Pennsylvania Municipal Managers (APMM) Board while in the profession.
Mr Dailey achieved his undergraduate degree from Waynesburg College in 1997 and his M.B.A from Point Park University in 2001. Mr Dailey is an instructor for the Pennsylvania State Association for Township Supervisors (PSATS), Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB), and a former instructor with the University of Wisconsin at Madison for operations management and was an adjunct professor at Robert Morris University for undergraduate course work. He has extensive knowledge in the operations and administration of local governments and authorities where he recently served as the Sharpsburg Borough Interim Manager in 2022 and is currently the Interim Authority Director for the Richland Water Authority. Mr Dailey is the current President and a Past President of the Western Pennsylvania Public Works Association (APWA). Mr Dailey has served in leadership roles of the Butler County Council of Governments and was an alternate Board member for the PA One Call Board.
As owner of Dailey Operation Consulting, Mr Dailey has provided professional technical and administrative consulting services for the PA Governors Center for Local Government Services in the areas of public works, code enforcement, blight management, economic recovery and information technology.
Mr Dailey is an active instructor for various state associations and consults for the PA Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), DCED as a peer consultant, Grass Roots Solutions as a technical expert as well as with Pennsylvania Economy League (PEL) providing technical assistance visiting communities seeking subject matter experts to help guide them through various administrative, financial, and technical operational issues.
